class-D amps

This post is about my personal experience with various amplifiers operating in the class-D

Denon HEOS – Home Entertainment Operating System
It is not about the class of the amp but about synchronized playback over multiple devices, ease of control with your smartphone and even Home assistant.

Denon HEOS Amp – I have 3 of them around the house

Next section is about inexpensive amps or bare amp boards that you can purchase from AliExpress or BangGood or other vendors. TDA7498E is an excellent amp module and you should look no further. Crystal clear reproduction and serious power. No heat. No energy wasted.
Only if you are limited with 12V power supply in a car or boat then you should go with TPA3116.

This is a chronological list of amps that I purchased over the years and some of them are not unique. Links to items sold on AliExpress tend to expire and some have expired already. Therefore, more links gives you more chance to encounter live links.

I’ve found front half of 80s stereo cassette recorder in recycling yard. My friend Igor installed the player into it. 😉
